If you are too far from the clinic, can’t make it in person, or you don’t feel comfortable coming in for an in-person appointment, virtual Physiotherapy can still help you.
The majority of problems can be diagnosed and resolved with proper self-care and exercise programs. Using our secure and encrypted video platform called Embodia (through Zoom Health), we can provide you with a sound diagnosis and guide you every step of the way to recovery. You don’t even have to leave your house.
What is Virtual Physiotherapy?
Virtual Physiotherapy is the delivery of Physiotherapy services via secure video conferencing. It is appropriate for patients who are in need of Physiotherapy services but are unable to travel to the clinic or do not feel comfortable attending an in-person session.
What can I expect from a Virtual Physiotherapy session?
Although Physiotherapy is generally thought of as a ‘hands-on’ form of healthcare, there are many components of Physiotherapy that are transferable during a virtual session. During a virtual Physiotherapy session, you will be able to:
Have a Physiotherapy assessment
Receive education regarding activity and lifestyle modification in order to help manage your injury
Receive an individualized home exercise program to promote your recovery
Answer any questions you may have
What do I need to do to prepare for a Virtual Physiotherapy session?
When you book your virtual Physiotherapy appointment you will receive an email with a link to join the session, which takes place over a secure platform to ensure your privacy.
You can use a phone, tablet or laptop for the session. You will need some space around you, along with comfortable/flexible clothing, as you will be asked to perform some movements to assess your injury and also to perform the exercises that are prescribed.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 24-hours notice is required to either change or cancel your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours or miss their appointment will be charged at the full rate of their appointment. Please arrive a few minutes before the start time of your appointment time, and notify us if you will be late. Unfortunately, as we have appointments scheduled after yours, we will only be able to provide the remainder of your appointment time so as to not impact the next patients appointment time.
