What is it?

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), is a non-surgical, non-invasive medical procedure that uses shockwaves to treat a wide array of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. This innovative therapy harnesses the power of high-energy sound waves to stimulate healing and regeneration within the body. How Does ESWT Work?

The key to ESWT's success lies in the controlled delivery of shockwaves to the affected area. A trained healthcare professional uses a specialized device to administer these shockwaves to the targeted tissue. These high-energy shockwaves create microtrauma at the cellular level, by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue. Shockwave technology delivers strong energy pulses or acoustic pressure wave that are applied to the affected area for short periods of time. This stimulates cells in the body that are responsible for bone and connective tissue healing.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 24-hours notice is required to either change or cancel your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours or miss their appointment will be charged at the full rate of their appointment. Please arrive a few minutes before the start time of your appointment time, and notify us if you will be late. Unfortunately, as we have appointments scheduled after yours, we will only be able to provide the remainder of your appointment time so as to not impact the next patients appointment time.
